Review Comment:
   PrintWriter swallows exceptions. Just use an OutputStreamWriter

Review Comment:
   Now that you have more robust JSON based tests I'd delete this test unless 
you care about JSON insignificant details like whether it's
   
   "artifactId": "snapshot"
   
   or
   
   "artifactId"     :    "snapshot"
