This decision was made to have the stricter tracking in place, while we allow "transitioning" for workstations that still use 3.9 and 3.10+ interchangeably. When this happens (local repository is shared across 3.9 and 3.10+), having this setting `false` produces a LOT of unwanted console logging and traffic (remote checks for availability). The decision was, that for those users wanting "stricter" tracking, we offer this configuration and they can set it system wide (ie. via settings), and enjoy all of it, instead to annoy whole user base with extra output and traffic. Note: this above stands even for tools like JBang is, that currently uses MIMA w/ 3.9 aligned resolver! -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
