Fixed in `maven-filtering` via the `ChangeDetection` feature (apache/maven-filtering#397). The root cause was that `DefaultMavenResourcesFiltering` emitted "Copying file X" unconditionally **before** calling the copy method, so the log was always printed even when the change-detection strategy (content-hash, timestamp, or NEVER) decided to skip the write. The fix: `copyFile` now returns a `boolean` indicating whether the file was actually written, and the log message reflects the real outcome. `maven-resources-plugin` leverages `ChangeDetection` since PR #527.
