The consolidated Mimir cache was saved under `master-<os>-<run id>`, so every push to master stored about 0.5 GB per OS that no later run could match; within an hour of a cleanup the repository was back at 11.5 GB. The key is now the hash of the POMs: a run whose POMs match a stored entry restores it and saves nothing, a POM change saves one new entry, and `restore-keys` still falls back to the newest earlier one. The consolidate job looks the key up first and skips the ~2 GB artifact download when it is already stored. The 3.x lines already key their IT repository on the POM hash and do not use Mimir; they are unchanged. The same change for `maven-4.0.x` is ready as a backport. --- - [x] I hereby declare that I have filed an [Apache Individual Contributor License Agreement](https://www.apache.org/licenses/icla.pdf). -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
