Item 39 of #1793. *Guide to Using Toolchains* says a requirement can be a single version or a range, but not that a single version only matches the identical string, which catches anyone whose `toolchains.xml` lists full versions. Verified with maven-toolchains-plugin 3.3.0 on 3.10.0 and 4.0.0-rc-7, same result on both: provides `17.0.20` → requirement `17` no match, `[17,18)` and `17.0.20` match; provides `1.8.0_504` → `8` and `1.8` no match, `[1.8,1.9)` matches. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
