### Affected version master (d9746769), 4.0.0-rc-7 ### Bug description For a goal given without full coordinates, `MojoExtension.mojoCoordinates` reads `groupId` and `version` from the plugin's `pom.xml` (or its `<parent>`) as raw text ([`MojoExtension.java:645-653`](https://github.com/apache/maven/blob/master/impl/maven-testing/src/main/java/org/apache/maven/testing/plugin/MojoExtension.java#L645-L653)). A plugin using CI-friendly versions gets the literal `${revision}` as its version, and the mojo lookup fails with an unrelated error. Reproduction: a plugin POM with `<parent><version>${revision}</version></parent>` and `<properties><revision>1.2.3</revision></properties>`. `mojoCoordinates("goal")` returns `${revision}` at index 2 (`expected: <1.2.3> but was: <${revision}>`). -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
