The following facet is generated in
.settings/org.eclipse.wst.common.project.facet.core.xml:
<installed facet="jst.java" version="5.0"/>
Deploying to a server within Eclipse fails with a message that says the facet
is not supported. Manually changing the facet to 1.5 solves the deployment
issue.
Unfortunately the following duplicates the facet rather than updating it:
<additionalProjectFacets>
<jst.java>1.5</jst.java>
</additionalProjectFacets>
FWIW this issue would help address other issues as well such as [MECLIPSE-449]
and [MECLIPSE-595].
