## Summary [NIFI-15857](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-15857) The overlapping connections banner added in NIFI-15654 is always displayed while overlapping connections exist, which is a nuisance for flows where overlapping connections are intentional. This adds a Dismiss button to the banner. Dismissal is kept in component state only, in line with the other dismissible banners in the UI, and the banner is displayed again when the set of overlapping connections changes. Tests in `overlapping-connections-banner.component.spec.ts` cover hiding the banner on dismiss, showing it again when the overlapping connections change, and keeping it hidden when the same overlapping connections are re-evaluated. # Tracking Please complete the following tracking steps prior to pull request creation. ### Issue Tracking - [x] [Apache NiFi Jira](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI) issue created ### Pull Request Tracking - [x] Pull Request title starts with Apache NiFi Jira issue number, such as `NIFI-00000` - [x] Pull Request commit message starts with Apache NiFi Jira issue number, as such `NIFI-00000` - [x] Pull request contains [commits signed](https://docs.github.com/en/authentication/managing-commit-signature-verification/signing-commits) with a registered key indicating `Verified` status ### Pull Request Formatting - [x] Pull Request based on current revision of the `main` branch - [x] Pull Request refers to a feature branch with one commit containing changes # Verification Please indicate the verification steps performed prior to pull request creation. ### Build - [ ] Build completed using `./mvnw clean install -P contrib-check` - [ ] JDK 21 - [ ] JDK 25 The frontend was verified with `nx test nifi` for the banner and canvas specs, `nx lint nifi` and Prettier.
