> @ChenSammi I think we actually want to fail the entire datanode process instead of tolerating this error. We cannot assume that data we cannot read is healthy and available. The error is also not specific to the volume and the entire DN will be inoperable when this happens, so failing the DN or absorbing the error both produce the same result. By failing the DN with a clear message at the end of the log, the admin is quickly alerted to the issue. They should be able to increase the FD limit and restart the DN before the bulk of potential replication increases. @errose28 , sorry for the late response.
