IMO it is fine to leave things be unless there is a good reason other than separation of concern (e.g. https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HDDS-10611). From the overhead point of view, adding fields to protobuf would not cause protobuf size to increase as long as we remember to unassign the fields. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
