Just proceed with the re-fetch idea. The architecture of the code in the datanode is so bad, its impossible to fix this any other way. I still think this leaves the door open for similar bugs in the future as its far from obvious on how this should be used if a new service comes along. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
