This setup mutates the shared `conf` used by `testRefreshPipelineFunction`.
That test relies on a positive retry interval for `BlockExtendedInputStream` to
emit the `Retry read after` log, but a zero interval produces a zero-delay
retry and skips that log (`BlockExtendedInputStream.java:83-93`), so its
assertion fails. Keep this setup at the default one-second interval (the tests
that need zero already configure their own client config).
