For [this comment](https://github.com/apache/ozone-site/pull/66#discussion_r1470493507) I agree that we should update the snapshot version as soon as the branch is cut, and maybe do the protolock version update at this time too. What are the thoughts on this order of steps: 1. Update version on master 2. Update protolock on master 3. Cut the release branch from the protolock commit Another option could be to do protolock update and version bump in the same commit on master.
