-------------------------------------------------------------
Hi [~stoty] / [[email protected]] I am working on building/testing
phoenix-spark connector.
Here is a list of things I plan to do:
* Bump Phoenix third party to latest: PHOENIX-7158
* Bump omid to latest: PHOENIX-7206
* Bump ZK to 3.8.1: PHOENIX-7207
* Remove vulnerable dependency log4j:log4j from dependencies list: PHOENIX-7169
* Bump Phoenix to 5.1.4 (once released): PHOENIX-7209, can be done once 5.1.4
is released
* Building/testing phoenix-spark connector with spark 3.2.0 on jdk 8 as phase
1
* Building/testing phoenix-spark connector with spark 3.4.1 on jdk 17 as phase
2
* Fix/Improve docs around spark 3 with phoenix-connectors.
** Do we maintain this in
[README.md|https://github.com/apache/phoenix-connectors/blob/master/phoenix5-spark3/README.md]
or docs at [https://phoenix.apache.org/phoenix_spark.html]?
** Currently I see out of sync docs at both places. IMO we should not maintain
at both places as its prone to be out of sync.
* Analyse dependencies like hbase, hadoop etc. and sync them with phoenix
branch-5.1
* Run a security scan and remove any vulnerable dependencies.
Please let me know if this sounds good. Also please let me know anything to add
/ remove.
