Thanks for the review and the +1 @apurtell. Good catch on the wording — softened both the `transitClusterRole` Javadoc and the PR description from "matches on the first poll regardless of listener timing" to "converges/matches deterministically within the settle window", which is the precise claim (race-free convergence, not a literal first-poll guarantee).
