Thanks for the explanation! I am more of thinking the case that we might
want to enable connection with other catalog service like
glue/unit-catalog/hive-metastore in general, not just iceberg endpoints. I
haven't looked into how discriminator works, and have one quick question, if
in the future we remove the discriminator, will there be any user facing impact?
