I ran into a stall here but will be back to it shortly. I found several
additional locations that called search to allow a parallel path for. I’ve also
setup some more large scale and non biased benchmarking, and that led to some
need for a bit more investigation on this feature. At the same time, I found
that faceting on docvalues can create a tremendous amount of garbage and I’ve
spent some time looking at what to do there. Finally, a lot of this work relies
on a solid benchmark foundation to properly vet and understand the various
parameters involved, so I’ve been working on getting the benchmark solid and a
foundation committed. I’ll be back to this shortly with some more data.
