One more thought that came to mind... I see this as a nice improvement to the V1 api, but then I wondered, does this also cover V2 api. Did a slight bit of digging, and based on this comment, https://solr.apache.org/guide/solr/latest/deployment-guide/collection-management.html#colstatus, it appears that the V1 command is much more advanced than the v2. Since the V1 api will eventually be deprecated and removed, my preference would be to see this improvement also applied to the V2 equivalent, so that this work isn't lost... -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
