+1 to {{--user-managed}} to switch to user managed mode.
It could be useful to provide an additional way of reverting to previous
default than requiring user to start with the {{--user-managed}} argument.
Perhaps adding a new sysProp {{solr.mode.usermanaged=true}} /
{{SOLR_MODE_USERMANAGED=true}} will help some users to upgrade (and stick with
user managed) without having to modify the command line, which could be hard
coded..
