If we can remove the dependency version references in our toml file for dependencies that come with a BOM, and use the BOMs instead, I think we would get some kind of guarantee of compatibility. As far as I understand it, one of the BOM's tasks is to align the versions of dependencies so that they are comaptible with one another (which usually means they are all on the same version, but not necessarily).
