Amrit Sarkar commented on SOLR-11994:
-------------------------------------
PR for the hook: [#5232|https://github.com/apache/solr/pull/5232]. It adds
{{SearchRequestListener}}, registered via
{{CoreContainer.addSearchRequestListener}} and called from {{SearchHandler}}
once per top-level search on the coordinator. Nothing changes unless a listener
is registered. The Query Insights module
([SOLR-18572|https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-18572]) builds on it.

> Solr allows you to log slow queries but there should be an API to expose this
> information both on a per-core level and per collection.
