Hitesh Shah commented on TEZ-1117:
----------------------------------
[~bikassaha] Could you clarify case 2 again. What does a partial DAG failure
mean?
>From a perspective of a session, there are 2 things I see:
- when to shutdown a session? i.e. when a DAG fails or only when a user
invokes the shutdown?
- how is the final session status determined? If any dag fails, mark yarn app
as failed? or mark yarn app as failed iff the session shutdown as a result of
the last dag failing or some other fatal error? i.e a user initiated shutdown
will never mark a session as failed?
> Option to make YARN application failed on dag failure

> Can we have an configuration to make the Application status FAILED on
> termination if one of the DAGs fail? It is very confusing for users to see
> the application SUCCEEDED.
