Roberta Marton commented on TRAFODION-1749: ------------------------------------------- I actually downloaded source for apr, apr-util, and log4cxx, built the source, then did a build and installed local Hadoop. This all worked fine. When I tried to bring up Trafodion (sqstart), the procedure hung at 6 processes and eventually died with an error that monitor.port.0.<hostname> file was missing. It turned out that the log4cxx library needed by monitor was built by default in /usr/local/lib. After adding this library location into my LD_LIBRARY_PATH, rebuilding, rerunning sqgen I was able to bring up Trafodion. Not sure where rpm build will create the libraries needed by monitor but something to verify. > Unable to build or run Trafodion because of missing log4cxx files > ----------------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: TRAFODION-1749 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TRAFODION-1749 > Project: Apache Trafodion > Issue Type: Bug > Components: Build Infrastructure > Reporter: Roberta Marton > Assignee: Steve Varnau > Attachments: log4cxx-0.10.0-13.fc18.src.rpm, > log4cxx-devel-0.10.0-13.el6.x86_64.rpm > > > Recently, the log4cxx libraries are been removed from download repositories > such as YUM and EPEL.
