I just got this too.  

  Error: UIDVALIDITY of slave changed (got 1349969406, expected 1338471488)

I'm connecting to both Master and Slave via IMAP, so file names should
not be relevant.  

To cause this, I created a new local mailbox on the client that already
has a corresponding mailbox on the server (with messages in it), and
moved a few messages on the client into that new mailbox before
sync'ing.
