Notes to Recruiters:
. Specifically for this position, candidate must have project
managed an asset management deployment project within the last 5 years, in a
mid-to-large company environment, involving several hundred devices. Projects
must have involved use of any Asset Management tool / software (BMC, HP, IBM,
Alteris or equivalent). Any tool is fine as long as they are experienced in
using one in the course of the project).
. Documented/recent PM Experience in basic project costing and
justification (value proposition, project cost gathering, cost vs. benefit,
ROI).
Minimum Requirements:
. Must have 5+ years of project management experience.
. Must have 8+ years of IT experience with 3+ years in an
Operations or Infrastructure department.
. Some experience in data management, data validation and
integrity, avoiding data redundancy. Critical success factors involved in data
migration, merging, etc.
. Led multiple technical projects within IT operations or
infrastructure environment, preferably involving small-to-mid data center
server and equipment installations.
. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Person will
manage all project communications and documentation.
. Specifically for this position, candidate must have project
managed an Asset management deployment project within the last 6 (or so) years,
in a mid-to-large company environment, involving several hundred devices.
Projects must have involved use of any Asset Management tool / software (BMC,
HP, IBM, Alteris or equivalent). Any tool is fine as long as they are
experienced in using one in the course of the project). Does NOT have to be a
hands-on tool expert, but knowledgeable enough to make decisions regarding the
tool.
. General understanding of Asset Management concepts and data,
critical success factors. Good knowledge of ITIL asset management, CMDB and
related subjects. Must be able to provide guidance to Avery management in this
subject.
. PMI certification (OR equivalent PM certification from another
source OR college degree specifically in project management)
. Real PM experience! Overall hands-on PM experience in a variety
of project management processes, methods, tools and forms including project
scope, planning, scheduling, time / cost management, resource management and
risk management.
. "Strong" PM personality! Must be able to tactfully but forcefully
deal with various individuals globally who do not report directly to this PM.
. Self-Motivating. Must be able to "hit the ground running" and
work with minimal direction. Solves problems with minimal escalation to
management.
. Experience in basic project costing and justification (value
proposition, project cost gathering, cost vs. benefit, ROI).
. Intermediate or higher level experience in Microsoft Project (or
equivalent).
Applicant must meet ALL of these requirements. Description:
1. Asset Management Global Delivery (Primary)
a. Project Manage the deployment of existing asset management tool
(client) to all global laptops / desktops (primary)
b. Oversee and drive creation, management of and data integrity of
asset inventory database.
c. Manage the requirements, design, architecture, installation of
servers globally to support asset management deployment. Project manages IT
technical groups and outsource vendor to accomplish this.
d. Oversee, coordinate / work with vendor. Evaluate advice and
ensure it is the correct direction in terms of asset management and in the best
interest of Avery. Advise management and Avery is moving in correct direction
and doing asset management function correctly.
