Position: SQL Server DBA Location: St. Louis, MO Duration: 6+ Months Rate: $40/hr - $42/hr BEST RATE Prefer: Local to St. Louis (Try submitting candidates IN or AROUND MO) Required Experience: * BE or BS Degree in one of the following subject areas: Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology or related field preferred * 2 -3 years IT operation with strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices * 3-5 years Microsoft SQL Server experience * Understanding of, and experience with, server-client computing and relational database environments * Knowledge of reporting and query tools and practices * Good understanding of the organizations goals and objectives * Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills * Technical documentation skills * Self motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail * Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment * Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment * Project management experience a plus * Good written and oral communication skills Required Skills: * SQL Server 2005/2008 * Database Administration/ Management - Installation, upgrade, backup/restore and maintenance of Database systems * Database Performance Monitoring and Tuning * Database clustering/mirroring * Database Security * Evaluation and design of interfaces between SQL Server Databases and external systems * Provide emergency support 7 days x 24 hours for SQL Server Thanks and Regards, Nick Carter - Data Group Inc.
