Position Description:
Responsible for maintaining files related to release of PDA and desktop
based software applications and supporting calibration file sets.
Provides coordination with the production department on scheduling release
of new software and/or calibrations.
Develops desktop and PDA based scientific applications using C++ and
MFC/ATL.
This involves implementing computational algorithms, database
operations, spectrum display and communications protocols.
Helps maintain existing applications written in VB6 and C++.
Provide customer service support for new and existing apps as needed.
Fluent in C++, MFC/ATL.
Experienced in developing database apps.
Familiar with VB.NET <http://vb.net/>, VB 6.0, Microsoft Office Automation,
specifically
Excel.
Expert in developing apps targeted at Windows XP and Vista platforms with
direct experience in developing multi-threaded applications.
Familiarity with app development targeted at Windows CE on PDA platform is
an added bonus.
Able to work with minimal direct supervision and take a project from
initial idea stage to complete product.
Must possess good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Work as part of a team.
Requires a BS in computer science plus 5 years of relevant work experience
or equivalent work experience.
