Job Title: Data Analyst Duration: 6+ Months Location: Detroit, MI Interviews on MONDAY - Need only OPT's/EAD's/GC/Citizens ONLY!!! The primary tasks for these Data Analysts are to: Perform these inquiries / SQL queries Recognize trends or patterns in the data as they go about this inquiry work Discuss these trends with the business owner Write the requirements documentation for automating these inquiries Role Description: The ideal candidate is both a seasoned data analyst with a track record recognizing trends and data patterns, and a strong developer on the platform (Oracle - materialized views, partitioning, dimensional model; SQL Server - OLAP, ER model; SQL). A viable candidate might well be an Oracle / SQL Systems Analyst / Programmer. SA's generally have experience gathering requirements from secondary sources (the system itself and the data) and documenting them appropriately. Requirements and Qualifications: 5+ years experience as data analyst / developer using Oracle and SQL Server 3+ years experience with, and understanding of, data warehousing methodologies 5+ years experience developing complex SQL queries. VERY STRONG SQL required 3+ years experience in tuning Oracle/SQL Server queries/processes and performance management tools 3+ years experience in Oracle/SQL Server database programming using Partitioning, Materialized View and OLAP Previous project experience with at least 3 large, preferably multi-year, data warehousing project Strong business and communication skills Preferred: Knowledge of Health Care Insurance Payer Data Warehousing preferred Previous experience working as a Production Support role for Informatica highly preferred Thanks and Regards, Nick Carter - Data Group Inc.
