*Role - Certified Scrum Master* *Location - Boise, ID Duration – 12+ Months* *Certified Scrum Master* *Specific Skills for a ScrumMaster:* - First level Scrum Master certification (PSM I, CSM ) - Experience in the Scrum Master role for at least two years for a software development team - Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency - Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown techniques, Retrospective formats, scaling agile across multiple teams, handling defects, etc.) - The ability to distinguish between what "is Scrum" what is "not Scrum" - Excellent communication and mentoring skills - Understand the fundamentals of iterative and incremental development. - Understand the fundamentals of software development processes and procedures. - Demonstrate knowledge and experience with IT processes and concepts. · *Knowledge of other approaches discussed in the Agile space: XP, Kanban, SAFe, etc.* · Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, etc. *Technical Skills:* · Understand basic fundamentals of iterative development. · Understand other processes and methodologies and can speak intelligently about them and leverage other techniques to provide value to a team/enterprise. · Understand basic fundamentals of software development processes and procedures. · Understand the value of commitments to delivery made by a development team. · Understand incremental delivery and the value of metrics. · Understand backlog tracking, burn-down metrics, velocity, and task definition. · Mastery of common Agile/Scrum practices. · Familiarity with software as a service, service-oriented environments, and improving development practices. · Understand the software development tools such as Cucumber and Jira, What we are looking for is a strong technical contributor who can quickly come up to speed on our existing system functionality, application infrastructure, both from a hardware and software perspective.
