Good morning,

Barcode is a font, actually several different fonts.

"get the text back from reading barcode" is like saying "get the text
back from reading times roman" or "get the text back from reading
courier"

        What does decoding a barcode actually mean? You can scan a
barcode but 
        I have never heard anything like decoding? Is it possible?
