Correct - if you want to do anything other than English, you MUST use Identity-H and embed the font.

Currently i am using the WINANSI encoding and embedded is set to false by overriding the FontMapper object class. However am unable to draw the Chinese characters. if changed the encoding type to Identify-h then I am able to draw the Chinese traditional data and other fonts. Can any one suggest me what is the difference between the Ansi and Indentity-H encoding types? And how to draw Unicode characters(standard way) using itext? Thanks in advance Dorairaj -- View this message in context: http://old.nabble.com/Difference-between-WINANSI-and--IDENTITY-H-encoding-types-tp28044409p28044409.html Sent from the iText - General mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Download Intel® Parallel Studio Eval Try the new software tools for yourself.
