Hi,

I am new to the list, so I'm sorry if this question has
already been answered... I made a quick search and haven't found
anything, if this is the case, please just point me to the answer and I will
be glad to read there.

As far as I understood, the version 2 is under MPL/LGPL license which in
turns, allow commercial usage of the library with no requirement to buy a
license or share the code, as we are used to, differently from version 5,
which is under AGPL. So, my question is about the continuity of branch v2.x,
would it be OK for the community to continue the development of this
version? I mean, would there be any legal issue continuing the development
of this version, keeping the same license? For instance, submitting patches,
adding features, etc., independently of version 5.

Regards,
