Well, I though a image would worth a thousand words... but no... ;)

The problem is that, for some reason, the window is not big enough for
the elements.

In example2_3 (from the tutorial) we should see a full button, no? But
the window is smaller than the button (it's right and bottom part are
cut off)! Nothing done, just compiled and executed the example, I would
expect a window like the one in the documentation. Where the button is
fully visible, not like the image I sent.

Worst, if I add a simple menu to this example the button is partly over
the menu (the top part of the button), with is completely unacceptable.

Just as a reminder, I'm using gtk 3.8.2.

Am I a bit more clear now?! I find it difficult to describe images.
