I believe there is a patch for this in review now and should be fixed in our builds in the next couple of days.

I found: * From the weston terminal, you don't have enough privilege to complete the install. If you try to sudo, you get asked for the app password. * When you install as root you get an error "defaults.list is not a desktop file". * Rebooting after the install results in a black screen (no observable desktop). System is not hung-- Ctrl-Alt-Fx all switch between terminals, no (new) error is reported on TTY0 (Ctrl-Alt-F1).
