Paul, First I would like to thank you and the other community members that have been so actively working with Tizen lately and using the mail list to tell of your successes and (unfortunately too frequently) challenges. It's really exciting to see so much activity. I know a lot of your first experiences have been frustrating. Please be assured those of us who have been working on Tizen IVI for the last year deeply appreciate your efforts, we discuss them daily and will do our best to help resolve all the issues you see.
There is work being done to enhance the Tizen SDK for IVI by the end of the year. But the planned date for a "3.0 SDK" release has not been set. The SDK is intended to help folks doing independent application development. For Tizen IVI this is limited to HTML development. Typically these are applications intended to be installed at runtime. The Tizen SDK is not designed for platform developers who may extend middleware, services, or core UI (HMI and IVI profile core applications).
