Dear all:
I am new to Tizen and like to do some investigation. Obviously, I want
to make it up before I can investigate.
Is Tizen compatible to run on Virtualbox?
No. Tizen IVI is based on Wayland and Weston. Unfortunately at the
moment there are no drivers in the VirtualBox guest additions for
hardware graphical acceleration of Wayland/Weston. Crosswalk
applications cannot run without hardware graphical acceleration so at
this moment VirtualBox is not useful.
You can use VMware Player (or VMware Fusion on Mac) as well as QEMU. For
more details please have a look at: https://wiki.tizen.org/wiki/Emulator
Best regards,
Leon
Specifically, I like to try the IVI version of Tizen:

I searched online but it isn't conclusive if Tizen can run on
Virtualbox or not.
thanks in advanced for any tip.
Mark
