Thanks for the help and suggestions! I've been trying find out things, and the I've been using mplayer not the right way. After installing mplayer 1.0pre7try2 with the patch supplied with the ivtv package, ist works ok with: mplayer -vo x11 /dev/video0 How simple! Using the options with -tv and tv:// as it should does not work: mplayer -tv driver=v4l2:device=/dev/video0:input=6 -vo xv tv:// This does not work! But very good! Finally it's working!
