i've just mail the ivtv-user list to ask a question but the dmesg says 
to write to the dvel list for an unknown card so i send you the 
information :

I've got a sony vaio V3S computer (so called in europe)

i'm running a ubuntu 5.1, kernel 2.6.12-10-386, i followed the howto and 
i'm unable to make my card run

i tried tv apps like kdetv nothing works, no device /dev/video0 is found.
