I have a KM400 and experience similar symptoms.  I also have a PVR500
card, but it takes a little more than this for me to trigger a reboot.
I find that recording on two channels simultaneously is enough to
trigger the problem.  I've ordered a new motherboard in the hope that
this will cure the problem.
