Thanks all for the help!  I think I'm going to look into getting a cheap nforce2 board....they seem to be recommended, and I think I should be able to use my existing CPU with it, too.  Gotta look into the RAM, though.....might have to upgrade that  :-/

I had spontaneous reboots on a KT266 system. Bought a cheap SIS741 board
and had no further problems. Have also used a KT400A without problems, so
it's not all via chipsets/boards.
