Hmm, I think you need to change a kernel config setting: Go to the
multimedia devices, video capture adapters menu and enable 'Enable
advanced debug functionality'. Recompile and install the recompiled
cx25840 module (or just install everything, whatever is easiest for
you).
Then it should work (I hope).
Oh, note that you need to run:
ivtvctl -R chip=cx2584x,min=0x100,max=0xa00
When I have this register list I can compare it to the 0.3.2q register
list (which unfortunately is in a completely different format).
