I upgraded my PVR from 2.6.17+0.7.0 to 2.6.19+0.9.1 a couple of days ago
and ran into

So I did an svn checkout of the 0.9 branch last night, and the problem
is much reduced, although not entirely gone.  For an example, see the
(3.5MB) http://www.parisc-linux.org/~willy/artifact.mpg

It's recorded with mythtv, and then cut down to a reasonable size
with gopchop.  I must confess to having not done a power-on reset of
the card since upgrading from 0.9.1.  Although

$ v4l2-ctl --get-ctrl temporal_filter
temporal_filter: 0
