If you're using MythTV then make sure you are recording at full
resolution (720x480). Recording at full resolution gives you better
quality and no ghosting.
An alternative might be to turn off the temporal filter altogether (no
idea if that makes a difference). There is a temporal_filter_mode
control (from memory, the name might be different) that you can set
to 'off' or something similar. If that works, then please let me know.
