I seem to remember reading that some people are having very high cpu levels when recording, but can't find these messages now.
I was having no trouble with 0.4.9 and recently changes the BIOS to "Have Plug and Play OS" and so means use ACPI data and then the CPU levels were really high and couldn't do anything except kill the process.
