Some graphic cards can be configured to match the cpu endian. Unfortunately 
I've not been able to find a method of doing this on the 350. This means that 
software has to do the byte swapping.

I've had a quick look at this, and from what I can make out, the only way to 
fix the problem with X is through the X driver itself. If you can compile & 
run the ivtv X driver, you're part way there.
