Loading the cx18 with only file-op debugging turned on: # modprobe -r cx18 # modprobe cx18 debug=32
appears to keep MythTV happy on my machine with a minimum amount of extra messages showing up in dmesg. Playback isn't entirely smooth, but perceptually, it's not bad at all.
