Tony, Make sure you have an MPEG2 decoder installed in Windows. It's not installed 'out of the box'. Usually an MPEG2 decoder comes with a soft DVD player, like power DVD or WinDVD. You can also use the free media player "VLC" for Windows available at www.videolan.org Good luck!

Another question regarding the codec being used by the PVR-350... My setup: Software -Slackware 9.1 -Kernel 2.4.22 Hardware -PVR-350 Model 990 (LG Tuner, Type 47) I'm testing some video captures to make sure I am capturing video and starting to see some positive results (i.e. actual TV!). The one behavior I'm noticing is that if I open the mpg temp file I capture in mplayer (ssh'd to another machine with an X server) I see everything (discolored and a little staticy, but I'm assuming this is because I need to tweak my ivtv settings). When I try to open the file with Windows Media Player, it tries to go get the codec and then comes back and says it can't find a codec for this file. Has anyone else seen this behavior? -- Tony Paterra [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
