Those three lines shouldn't be necessary on FC3, it already uses 
module-init-tools.

I'd say just delete the tuner module in /lib/modules/`uname 
-r`/kernel/<wherever>, then run a depmod -ae, then try. Should pick up the 
newer tuner module that way, much quicker than nuking everything. There are 
still a few kinks with FC3 too...
