I didn't do anything special, just used the FC3 .ac rpm files and it worked. I guess I'm luckier than I thought. I am perfectly willing to help debug, if you need.

No output at all from irw. irrecord goes through its paces, but the configuration it generates is nonsense -- 0 for zero and one, and nothing for the codes section.

Congrats, you got 'version 2.0' of the PVR-250, which has a new chip. We're working on solving the issues with this now, which is getting increasingly more surprising. We'll keep you updated.
