Peter,

I have the same card.

Mine is working allright.

I use the following startup script:

----------------------------------------------------------------
#!/bin/bash
echo Loading IVTV drivers.
echo Loading tveeprom
modprobe tveeprom
sleep 1
echo Loading videodev
modprobe videodev
sleep 1
echo Loading cx25840
modprobe cx25840 i2c_enable=1
#sleep 1
echo Loading tuner (This is the one supplied in ivtv-0.3.2b, rename the tuner.ko one in the kernel)
modprobe tuner
sleep 1
echo Loading wm8775
modprobe wm8775
sleep 1
echo Loading ivtv
modprobe ivtv ivtv_std=2 tuner=52
----------------------------------------------------------------
Rename the tuner.ko module from the tuner to tuner.ko.old and run 'depmod -a'.
I have the sleeps in there because my system crashed before. I still have to test if ony the modprobe ivtv line will work.
I have seen a posting in the group which says only the modprobe ivtv line is needed.

Regards.

Michel

Hi!

I've got a pvr-150 (version 1046), I live in Sweden (a PAL B/G country).
Modprobe tveeprom (both ivtv-0.3.2b and v4l one, though not at the same
time) doesn't result in anything showing up in dmesg or in the system log
(/var/log/messages), so I cannot determine tuner type that way. So I
peeled of the sticker on the tuner which revealed that it's a Philips one
but I can't recognise it in tuner.h; the data is as follows:
----------------------------------------------
3139 147 18291HI (not sure about the last I, it may be a #)
F0121GME/I H-3 (it may say FQ1216ME/1 H-3)
SV21 0435

Sticker on top (which unfortunately peeled the sticker under it too):
PAL-B/G-I-D/K SECAM
26059
Rev.C155
----------------------------------------------
Is this a new tuner? I tried tuner 24 (FQ1216ME) but it gives me only
static (plus I don't know how to 'actively set it' to B/G PAL). I've also
tried 50,51,52.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've only used tveeprom, tuner, videodev, wm8775, cx25840 and ivtv
modules, since they are the ones who should be relevant for my hardware.

Out of curiousity: Why are there two separate projects for tv-capture
cards under linux? It seems that v4l and ivtv has a lot of code in common,
i.e. tuner, msp3400, tveeprom...

Best regards

Peter K
